Are you feeling bored at home? Have no idea on what to do, and how you should fill your time?

You, like many, are probably sick and tired of hearing and/or seeing the word pandemic day in day out. You probably feel isolated, lonely, and don’t have any idea when life will be back to normal.

So what exactly can you do during your ‘down’ time? If your answer is nothing, we have just got the list for you! Feel free to try them out and keep yourself busy!

1. Go On a Walk

There is simply something magical about nature that our soul craves.

The human body is designed to move and that is what you need to do on a regular basis. Try walking around your apartment/house or a nearby park for some fresh air and get those joints moving.

Take deep breaths and be mindful of your surroundings with each step you take.

Tip: remember to wear a mask while you’re at it!

2. Organize an Area in Your Home

Keep things neat and tidy.

If you have always wanted to revamp an area of your house such as your room, now’s the chance! Start with something manageable, like your dressing table or bookshelf.

Be prepared for that serene feeling when things around you are tidy and neat.

3. Do Your Laundry

No point letting dirty clothes pile up.

Doing your laundry may not be the most exciting thing to do, but you would not want your laundry to accumulate and leave a mess, right? Put on some music and vibe to it while getting your clothes clean and smelling nice.

You will definitely get rid of the clutter!

4. Create a DIY Corner

Find an easy-to-do and affordable hobby to pass time.

Say you have an empty corner somewhere in your house. Ever thought about turning it into a hobby that you’d like to do in your spare time? These could include turning the space into a meditation corner, your private reading space, or even just a place for you to sip coffee. Make it cozy, prep it with pillows and turn on your aroma diffuser.

5. Add Yoga Into Your Routine

Yoga is one of those exercises that require little if any equipment.

Distracting your mind from boredom does not have to be that complicated. If you do not have a workout routine, try incorporating yoga for a light workout. Do some stretches, or deep breathing. There are loads of excellent videos available to follow! The more you do it, the easier it becomes to turn it into a habit.

6. Declutter Your Closet

Clear out old and unused stuff. Donate them where possible.

It is normal to have tons of clothing or shoes that you have not worn for a long time. The time you have while stuck at home is the right time to sort them out!

There are also many places that accepts used items donation, if you do not wish to throw your things out.

7. Time to Binge Watch Without Guilt!

Go ahead and watch that TV series that you’ve put off.

Now’s the perfect time for you to finish that TV series you’ve been wanting to watch all those years ago. Put your feet up and binge watch as much as you like.

8. Create a Little Garden

Herbs are not only easy and fun to grow but doing so can also save you some money.

You do not necessarily need a fully equipped backyard for this. You can have succulents by your window sills, or even put some flowers in a pot. Your environment will feel more earthy and a little greener as a result.

9. Watch a Documentary

There are many free documentaries exploring different topics that will make you more knowledgeable about the workings of the world.

Documentaries are the most exciting and informative things to watch! If you are into crime, sports, mysteries or even conspiracy theories, you will definitely find something intriguing!

10. Organize Your Drawer

Throw out the things you don’t need and keep what you need organized.

We all have a junk drawer where we just throw things in and go about our day. This may not bother you as much, but it will when you can’t find the things you are looking for.

Use this opportunity to organize your items and discard/donate stuff that you don’t need/use anymore.
