Some Things That You Should Keep in Mind

Firstly, there are malicious-minded people who would like nothing more than to cause confusion, panic, and chaos online or offline for their own benefits during times like this. You should therefore always check a source’s credibility before believing what you read/heard.

Secondly, please stay indoors as much as possible and seek medical help immediately if you feel unwell. It is advisable that you stockpile some daily necessities to reduce your frequency of needing to go outdoors. If you really need to be outdoors, do your best to avoid crowded places as much as possible.

Thirdly, here are three things that you should always practice when going outside:

  1. Always wear a face mask to reduce the chance getting infected;
  2. Keep your physical distance a minimum of three to six feet (90 to 180cm) six to nine feet (180 to 270 cm) from other people at all times; and
  3. Practice frequent hand-washing with soap and water.

And last but not least, these are very challenging times for everyone globally and many people are struggling to meet their ends need as a result of the crisis. In light of this, let us all do what we can to overcome this seemingly impossible challenge together irrespective of our differences. This storm like all others before it will pass even if some of our previous norms will have to be thrown out the window.

Take care, stay safe, and sleep well.

P.P.S. COVID-19 vaccines are now available! Check with your local authority for more information about how to get vaccinated! Try to base your decision(s) on facts and not on the various conspiracy theories floating around the Internet. Viruses will always mutate meaning there will always be new variants out there so please get vaccinated if not for yourself then for your friends and family.

P.P.P.S. The new Omicron variant has just been detected and is spreading quicker than the Delta variant in some countries. It seems inevitable that this variant will soon be found around the globe so please follow your local health authority’s advice (mid-Dec 2021 update).
